Summer is winding down and our Council activities are starting up! I want to thank Ken Krause for arranging to have the Clinton Township TV (CTTV) tape the check presentation to the Clinton Township Foundation for the $2,000 collected from the Fireworks Parking. This will give some exposure to the community that the Knights support the Clinton Township charities, not just our church. Check out your cable channel for the local programming. They will run the video many times over the next week or so. The video should be no longer than 10-15 minutes.
We had a special guest at our last Council meeting, Brother Anthony Solanus Krygowski. Brother Anthony is Art’s son and is still member of our Council. He is in his second year of vows. He thanked us for the donation to help pay for his mission to Honduras to work with the children there. It was a very moving experience. The people have very little material things. Their faith is strong and they are joyful people, and they shared what they have with him and his fellow Brothers. He is assigned to Our Lady of Angels Friary in the Bronx and will be working with the youth and helping to serve meals to over 200 families! Please keep Brother Anthony in your prayers.
I want to thank Phil Kwasny our Community Director who will be stepping down from that position that he held for 15 years! Phil did a great job researching request for donations from charitable organizations, making recommendations, keeping track of when and how often donations made and submitting articles for The Michigan Columbian.
